Today's hobo sign is the mark of the untrustworthy. A lot of the signs, you can kind of deduce. Like the sign for a plum handout spot is an X: x marks the spot. The sign for a woman looks like a woman (albeit one with a giant dress). I don't get this one at all.
It only got more mysterious when I looked on line to see what it represented. There were a number of other similar signs for the same thing. The symbol itself was untrustworthy! Some like a flat crescent with a cross or a line on the right. None of it seemed representative of anything.
Whatever. I say: where are the new hobo signs? The marks required for the modern vagabond?
Maybe I'll make those next:
- Beware of vegans
- Open wifi network
- Security cameras are fake
- White guilt
Perhaps that's a little cynical. Hobos prolly use QR codes these days.
Anyhow: I'm going to unwind with this Sam Summer, play some Drawsomething and get ready to fly out early tomorrow.
